Police Bullets FC granted CAF licence, set to represent Kenya in Women’s Champions League

This milestone marks the first licence issued under the current Football Kenya Federation (FKF) leadership, signalling a major step forward in raising the standards of women’s football in the country.
Police Bullets FC has officially secured a CAF club licence from the FKF First Instance Board (FIB), confirming their place as Kenya’s representative in the 2025/26 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The team earned their spot after successfully undergoing a thorough evaluation based on CAF’s five key pillars; Sporting, Infrastructure, Personnel and Administration, Legal, and Financial.

The review was conducted through the CAF Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP), which requires clubs to submit comprehensive documentation across 34 specific criteria for the Women’s Champions League.
Police Bullets FC passed the assessment with full compliance, proving their readiness to compete at the continental level.
FKF President Hussein Mohamed welcomed the development as seen in the statement stating that, “Club licensing is not a formality it is a foundation for real change. It demands that clubs operate professionally and sustainably, which is essential for long-term growth.”
“Police Bullets FC is a clear example of what can be achieved when the women’s game is taken seriously. They remain the only team in the country where every player has a formal contract and earns a regular monthly salary. That sets a critical standard for the rest of the league," he added.
Police Bullets FC was established in line with an FKF directive requiring all men’s clubs participating in CAF competitions and the FKF Premier League to form affiliated women’s teams a strategic move to strengthen the women’s football ecosystem in Kenya.
In a related update, the FKF FIB has also begun evaluating club licensing applications for Nairobi United and Kenya Police FC, who qualified to represent Kenya in CAF competitions next season. Both clubs are currently undergoing review under the same stringent criteria.
