Staggering Gaza casualties amid ongoing ceasefire breaches

Israel has reportedly violated the ceasefire at least 591 times, and 25 Gaza medical workers are currently being held in Israeli prisons without charge.

Gaza continues to endure staggering losses, with at least 70,112 Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023. Thousands more remain trapped beneath the rubble, a grim measure of the scale of destruction across the strip. In effect, one out of every 33 people in Gaza has lost their life during the conflict.

The number of injured has risen to 170,986, many left with permanent or life-altering wounds. This means one in every 14 Gazans has been injured, underscoring the vast civilian impact. Since the ceasefire, 909 more people have been injured and 356 killed, highlighting the continued volatility on the ground.

Tensions also persist beyond the casualty figures. Israel has reportedly violated the ceasefire at least 591 times, and 25 Gaza medical workers are currently being held in Israeli prisons without charge.
