Suspected KDF recruitment fraudster rearrested at Milimani Law Courts
Joshua Mutui Muimi was arrested immediately after leaving court, where he appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Dolphina Alego.
There was drama at the Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday after suspected Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruitment fraudster Joshua Mutui Muimi was dramatically rearrested by detectives moments after appearing for pre-trial directions in a case where he is accused of swindling more than Sh2 million from job-seeking youths.
Muimi, who is facing charges of issuing fake KDF recruitment letters purporting to secure admission to the Recruit Training School (RTS) in Eldoret, had just stepped out of the courtroom when DCI officers pounced on him over fresh complaints.

He was arrested immediately after leaving court, where he appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Dolphina Alego.
Acting on new intelligence, the officers handcuffed the suspect before briefly detaining him in an empty courtroom.
Minutes later, he was bundled into a waiting Subaru vehicle and whisked away at high speed as stunned court-goers looked on.
During the commotion, Muimi repeatedly shielded his face from journalists, pulling down his cap in an attempt to avoid cameras.
The fresh arrest is expected to lead to additional charges as investigators pursue what they term a widening recruitment fraud network.
