Health PS Mary Muthoni has called for strict enforcement of the law requiring breastfeeding spaces in schools. Speaking during a health educators’ training, she said many female teachers lack private areas to breastfeed or express milk, despite it being a legal right. “This is not a request, it is the law,” she emphasised, adding that her ministry will inspect schools to ensure compliance and promote breastfeeding-friendly environments.
