Treasury CS John Mbadi is currently presenting the Sh4.8 trillion 2026/27 budget at Parliament, Nairobi.
Unlike last year when he walked to the House, CS Mbadi was chauffeured in under heavy guard, arriving with the iconic budget briefcase, a symbol of Kenya’s fiscal tradition.
He was received by MPs, including Kimani Kuria and Sam Atandi, among others, as the House prepared for the highly anticipated session that will outline government spending priorities amid economic pressures.
