CS Kuria announces mandatory customer service training for all public servants

All public employees will be required to complete mandatory customer service training, which will be provided by Huduma Kenya in collaboration with the Kenya School of Government.

"We agreed to establish a partnership between Kenya School of Government and the Public Service Commission where all public servants will undertake refresher courses to align them to the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda," he said.

Kuria was speaking during a meeting with the Public Service Commission (PSC) led by the Chairman Amb. Anthony Muchiri and CEO Dr Simon Rotich on exploring areas of collaboration and partnership to align the public service to the national objectives.

Head of Public Service Felix Koskei echoed Kuria's sentiments during the Customer Service Excellence Training Framework launch at the Kenya School of Government, noting that all public Servants must undergo training to improve Service Delivery.

"The Customer Service Excellence Training Framework is a concrete step towards realising the vision of serving Kenyans with dignity and excellence," Koskei said.

Principal Secretary of the State Department for Public Service Amos Gathecha lauded Huduma Kenya for the development of the framework.

"This launch has been a journey guided by the need to improve customer Service in the public sector. The intention is to instil a culture of accountability and a culture of service excellence in the Public Service," he stated.
