Eastleigh traders and residents say fuel costs continue to strain businesses, push up transport expenses, and reduce customer turnout despite the latest diesel price reduction.

A spot check by The Eastleigh Voice at several booking offices in Eastleigh found many travellers waiting at bus terminals after being informed that no vehicles would depart.

Inside these centres, workers sort waste into categories such as plastic bottles, PET containers, cartons, and mixed garbage. Each type has a different value depending on demand from recycling companies.

Residents say the sewer problem has persisted for years and has worsened as more buildings continue to come up in the neighbourhood without corresponding improvements to drainage and sewer infrastructure.
