Company director charged over alleged forged land documents in Eastleigh property dispute

The prosecution told the court that the alleged forged document was intended to defraud Mary Wairimu Muhoro of ownership of the parcel of land, identified as LR No. 36/1/18, located in Eastleigh and valued at Sh25 million.

A company director has been charged before the Milimani Chief Magistrate’s Court over alleged forgery and use of fake land documents in a dispute involving a Sh25 million property in Eastleigh.
Abdul Hassan Tahalil, a director at Skyline Works Ltd, was arraigned in court, where he faced two criminal counts related to the contested parcel of land.
According to the prosecution, Abdul is accused of forging a document of title to land contrary to Section 350(1) of the Penal Code. It is alleged that on or before August 10, 2022, at an unknown location within Kenya, he, jointly with others not before the court, fraudulently created an indenture purporting it to be a genuine title document prepared by the firm of CK Advocates.
The prosecution told the court that the alleged forged document was intended to defraud Mary Wairimu Muhoro of ownership of the parcel of land, identified as LR No. 36/1/18, located in Eastleigh and valued at Sh25 million.
In a second count, Abdul is accused of uttering a false document contrary to Section 353 of the Penal Code. The court heard that on November 30, 2022, at the Environment and Land Court, Milimani, he knowingly presented the alleged forged indenture as a genuine document in Civil Suit No. 409 of 2022.

Court records show that Abdul was arrested on April 23, 2026, and presented before the court the following day to take a plea.
He denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh1 million or an alternative cash bail of Sh500,000.
The case will be mentioned on May 6, 2026, for further directions.
