Kamukunji Constituency public schools celebrate impressive KCPE results

Public and community-integrated primary schools in Kamukunji Constituency are celebrating outstanding achievements in the recently released Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results.

At Our Lady of Mercy Girls Primary School in Shauri Moyo's informal settlements, Akoth Wendy emerged as the top student, securing an impressive 389 marks out of 500. This marks a notable improvement of over 30 marks compared to the 2022 results. Notably, 15 students surpassed the 330 marks milestone, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

Despite facing challenges over the past decade, the school has now found inspiration in these remarkable results, propelling them toward a brighter future.

Adjacent to this success story, Heshima Road Primary School also attained commendable results. With 25 students scoring between 300 to 390 marks and 37 students achieving marks ranging from 250 to 299, the school showcased remarkable academic progress.

Eastleigh's community-integrated schools experienced their own triumphs. Al An Saaru Sunnah, a school known for its consistent performance in national examinations, achieved a mean score of 350. Leading the pack was Samira Hassan, who secured an impressive 396 marks among the 153 students who undertook the KCPE.

Within Eastleigh, Rabbani Group of Schools witnessed 220 students receiving their results, with the top performer scoring 397 marks, reflecting the academic excellence within the institution.

Celebrating these results, Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan congratulated these schools, tweeting, "I believe we are turning a corner, sending more children to secondary schools than ever before. Congratulations to all the students who have excelled in their exams."
