The DP said the government has disbursed capitation funds to schools, and no teacher should send a student home for any reason.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has cautioned teachers against sending home learners due to a lack of school fees and essential school items.
Speaking on Wednesday at Enoomatasiani Primary School in Kajiado North, Gachagua warned that teachers who engage in the act risk being fired upon chasing students home.

"Any teacher that will be found sending students home due to uniforms, desks or anything else, before that student gets home to their parent, that teacher will have already gone home," he said.
He reiterated that the government has disbursed capitation funds to schools, and no teacher should send a student home for any reason.
"The Ministry of Education has released capitation for Junior Secondary Schools (JSS), primary schools and secondary schools. Therefore, children should be allowed to study," Gachagua said.
CBC implementation
The DP noted that the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) will produce all-rounded learners, who will get an opportunity to identify and fully exploit their talents.
He said the government has made available adequate resources for the successful implementation of the curriculum.
So far, the government has disbursed Sh31.34 billion in capitation funds to schools, for the first tranche of Term 1 in 2024.
Sh4.74 billion was channelled towards the facilitation of free primary education while Sh7.6 billion will fund learners under Junior Secondary Schools.
The government also disbursed Sh2.8 billion to cater for school examination and invigilation costs, while Sh16.2 billion went towards financing free day secondary schools.
Last Friday, the Ministry of Education released additional funds for Free Day Junior School Education (FDJSE) allocating each learner Sh3,291.34.
It also allocated Sh69,596.075 to every school as basic allocation.
Education PS Belio Kipsang noted that the funds are both for grade 7 and 8 learners.
He urged the schools to utilise the resources as per the vote heads.
For acknowledgement of funds received, all heads of institutions were directed to issue official school receipts to the Principal Secretary, State Department for Basic Education for both tuition and operation accounts with copies to the sub-county director of education and county director of education.
