She noted that the application deadline for pre-service courses has been extended to March 4, 2024.

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has officially opened applications for its March 2024 intake.

Prospective students are invited to apply for pre-service courses (Certificate and Diploma) and In-service programs (Upgrading and Higher Diploma).

Mary Muthoni, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, announced the commencement of applications on Wednesday.

She emphasized that pre-service course applications are being processed through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal, with the deadline extended to March 4, 2024.

Muthoni encouraged all applicants to actively select their desired courses on the KUCCPS portal.

“Given that KUCCPS has extended the application deadline, I want to encourage all applicants for KMTC certificate and diploma courses to get committed and ensure they go to the KUCCPS portal and select the courses they would wish to apply for and ensure that during the selection process, they are in the system,” Muthoni said.

For upgrading, higher diplomas, and short courses, applications will remain open until the required number of applicants is reached. Muthoni highlighted the need for a viable number of applicants to facilitate effective learning environments.

Upon completion of applications, KMTC will issue admission letters with an anticipated reporting date in March.

Muthoni stressed the importance of seizing these opportunities for quality training at KMTC, emphasizing its status as a leading medical institution.

“The reporting date will be communicated to students and prospective students are encouraged to seize these opportunities,” she said.

Prospective students can apply for preservice courses through the KUCCPS portal (http://student.kuccps.net), while In-service applications are accepted via the KMTC admissions portal (http://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke).

Muthoni urged students to visit any KMTC Campus, call, or email ([email protected]) for inquiries, emphasizing the importance of seeking assistance rather than facing challenges alone.
