FKF receives transition report as reform plans take shape

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has received the final report from its Transition Ad Hoc Committee, marking the completion of the committee’s mandate. The report was officially handed over on Friday, 31st January, to FKF President Hussein Mohammed by committee chair and FKF Vice President McDonald Mariga.
The seven-member committee was formed by the National Executive Council (NEC) in December 2024 to oversee governance and operational reviews. It assessed FKF’s structures, including financial management, human resources, and legal frameworks.

The report proposes key reforms to strengthen governance, enhance internal capacity, and improve transparency. Among the recommendations is a forensic audit of FKF’s financial dealings. The NEC will now review the proposals before implementation.
FKF President Hussein Mohammed welcomed the report, saying:
“The committee has identified critical areas for improvement to ensure efficiency and good governance. We appreciate their work and look forward to the NEC’s validation as we move towards implementing these reforms.”
