Bandari ready for life away from Mbaraki

Bandari's home turf Mbaraki Sports Club is currently closed for facelift works
FKF Premier League side Bandari closed Mbaraki Sports Club for renovations after their Round 24 1-0 victory over league leaders Gor Mahia on Saturday 9 March.
Mbaraki Sports Club has been the Mombasa-biased club’s home ground as well as training ground since time immemorial and its closure has prompted the club, which is currently third on the league standings with 43 points, to source for an alternative training ground and venue for home matches.

As such the club will now be holding their training sessions at Serani Sports Ground and we will host our home at the Ukunda Showground, which is 30 kilometres away from Mbaraki Sports Club. Serani Sports Ground is less than a kilometre away from Mbaraki Sports Club.
“We want to take advantage of this long break to settle at our new training ground and home ground,” the club’s vice-chairman, Twaha Mbarak told The Eastleigh Voice.
“We do not play again until April 6 when we face Ulinzi Stars so we have enough time to put things in order,” he added.
Bandari FC does not play again at home until 13 April 2024, when they welcome Bidco United and Twaha reckons that gives them enough to complete their facelift of Ukunda Showground.
“Ukunda Showground needs a little upgrading before we can host matches and our next home match being more than one month away, gives us enough time to do the repairs necessary to make the venue suitable for use,” Twaha said.
Mbaraki Sports Club is expected to be ready for use again in September 2024, just in time for the start of the 2024/25 FKF Premier League season.
During the time it will be closed, Bandari will only host four home matches at the Ukunda Showground. Those home matches will be against Bidco United (April 13), KCB (April 20), Posta Rangers (May 5), and Sofapaka (May 18).
