In response, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) wasted no time in taking action. They levied a heavy penalty against USM Alger, declaring a 3-0 victory in favor of RS Berkane by default. Additionally, the case has been escalated to the Disciplinary Board for further investigation, hinting at potential repercussions for USM Alger.
Despite the setback, fans can still anticipate an electrifying rematch between RS Berkane and USM Alger on April 28, 2024.
