In a statement shared on Friday alongside the website launch, Maraga said Kenya is in crisis, with high public debt, a broken tax system, a rising cost of living, and violent repression of young people.
He said this is the time for citizens to take action and demand leadership that empowers people and delivers results.
“Kenya stands at a turning point. Yes, we face serious challenges—rising debt, an unfair tax system, a punitive cost of living, and a government that has turned its back on the very generation meant to lead us forward, including by killing, injuring and maiming them. But here’s the truth: this is our moment,” Maraga noted.
He called on Kenyans to take part in shaping a new future by visiting davidmaraga.com/donate, which serves as the central platform for his campaign.
“Whether you volunteer your time, contribute your ideas, or donate, you are helping us shape the Kenya of our most courageous dreams,” Maraga said.
“Kenya is not just a nation, it is US. It is the laughter of our children, the resilience of our communities, the dreams we carry in our hearts,” he added.
Maraga said his focus will be on clean energy, Artificial Intelligence, innovation, and leadership that trusts skilled professionals and demands results.
The launch of the website comes after Maraga formally declared his presidential bid in June 2025 during an interview with NTV. He said his decision followed deep reflection and discussions with close friends on the state of leadership in the country.
“After discussion with friends and after serious reflection, I thought it was time we thought about the leadership of this country. We can not let some people take our country to doomsday literally,” Maraga said.
“As a result of that reflection, I have made up my mind that I will run for the presidency of this country in 2027,” he added.
During the NTV interview, the Chief Justice described himself as the Gen Z candidate, and said mentorship and youth inclusion would be central to his campaign.
“Yes, I am the Gen Z Presidential candidate. I have children, and many people have children. We must mentor young people so that they take over from us,” he noted.
In addition, Maraga added that the support he has received so far has been encouraging and that many Kenyans are eager for a clear vision, action, and change.
“The messages of support you’ve sent have been humbling and energising. I hear you on the need for a clear vision, a practical plan, and a new political and economic path that secures our future. That’s exactly what we’re building. I am inviting you to be part of it,” he said.
