Nigeria's camp received a significant boost as talismanic striker Osimhen Victor returned to training following a stomach upset scare, dispelling fears of his absence in the crucial semifinal showdown. "We are delighted to have Osimhen back with us. He is a key player for our team, and his presence boosts our confidence," Nigeria's coach Jose Paseiro said, highlighting the significance of Osimhen's contribution to their AFCON campaign.
However, South Africa finds themselves grappling with a setback of their own, as Thapelo Maseko is ruled out of the semifinal clash due to a bad hamstring injury. "While it's unfortunate to lose a player of Maseko's caliber, we have a resilient squad capable of rising to the occasion," South Africa coach Hugo Broos stated, rallying his troops ahead of the semifinal clash.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast and DR Congo prepare to lock horns in a battle of tactical prowess and determination. "We really want to start the match on a positive side, impose our style and rhythm, and be on the lead from the beginning of the match," Ivory Coast stand-in coach Emase Fae emphasized.
DR Congo coach Sebastien Desambre admits that the hosts will not be an easy nut to crack but says his charges are ready to battle.
"Ivory Coast has quality players and have character. That explains why they are in the semifinals. However they have their weaknesses and we are ready to battle and get something great from game." He said.
