Celebrations erupted at California Group of Schools in Eastleigh as the institution marked an exceptional performance in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). The school, located in Nairobi's Eastleigh neighborhood, proudly achieved a commendable mean score of 384, with Ruweida Mohamed emerging as the top performer with an impressive 415 marks out of 500. Sundus Ahmed secured the second position with 414 marks.

Ruweida attributed her success to the unwavering support of her parents and the dedication of her teachers. In an exclusive conversation with Eastleigh Voice, she expressed gratitude, saying, "I would not have achieved this without my teachers and parents. I dedicate this to them." Ruweida shared her aspirations of joining Alliance Girls High School to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor, stating, "It is a great school; I have always admired Alliance Girls. I want to join the school."

The school's remarkable performance was highlighted by the success of its 95 students who sat for the national examination. Twenty students excelled with scores exceeding 400 marks, while 70 students achieved scores ranging between 350 and 399 marks. Additionally, five students secured scores ranging from 300 to 350 marks.

California Group of Schools, established in 2010 with only 65 students, has grown into a thriving educational institution with a current student population exceeding 1,300. Luqman Ahmed, the CEO of the school, expressed optimism about the future, stating, "I am confident that our trajectory will lead us to become a premier educational institution on a national scale."
