Coach Beldine Odemba parts ways with Kenya Police Bullets

Beldine Odemba leaves Police Bullets with her legacy firmly intact, a modern coach who delivered titles, instilled consistency, and brought flair to the women’s game.

Kenya Police Bullets FC head coach Beldine Odemba has officially parted ways with the club, bringing to an end her hugely successful chapter in the Women’s Premier League.

Odemba, a CAF A-licensed tactician, guided the Bullets to back-to-back Kenya Women’s Premier League (KWPL) titles, including the historic unbeaten 2023/24 campaign.

She also retained the crown in the 2024/25 season as the team finished top of the standings with 46 points from 21 matches, winning 13, drawing seven and losing just once.

Under her stewardship, the club quickly established itself as the dominant force in women’s football since its rebrand from Thika Queens to Police Bullets.

Her last assignment with the club came during the CECAFA Women’s qualifiers, where the Bullets reached the semifinals but were eliminated on penalties by Tanzania’s JKT at Kasarani Stadium.

Despite the disappointment, Odemba’s impact on the team remains undeniable, having turned them into serial winners and regional contenders.

Reports indicate that former Kibera Soccer Women FC coach David Vijago is the frontrunner to take over the reins.

Vijago, on his part, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with Kibera, guiding the side to their maiden FKF Women’s Cup triumph after eliminating Police Bullets in the semifinals and beating Vihiga Queens 1–0 in the final.

Odemba leaves Police Bullets with her legacy firmly intact, a modern coach who delivered titles, instilled consistency, and brought flair to the women’s game.

The club will now look to its next chapter under new leadership, with expectations still high that it will remain the team to beat in Kenyan women’s football.
