McTominay's second-half opener in the 19th minute set the tone for United's dominance. Chelsea's Cole Palmer, playing his first game at Old Trafford, equalised just before halftime with a left-footed shot, beating Andre Onana.
The decisive moment came in the 69th minute when the Scottsman headed in a precise cross from Alejandro Garnacho to mark his second goal of the night, a fourth win for the Red Devils Man United in their last five league games.
