According to police reports, Gakuru soaked a piece of cloth in paraffin and wrapped it around his body before igniting it, resulting in severe burns. Despite efforts by concerned neighbors to save him, Gakuru tragically succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital. While the police have moved his body to the Kenyatta National Hospital mortuary for further investigation, the motive behind his actions remains unclear.
