Farhiya Abdi, who operates a tea kiosk, questioned whether borehole drilling companies in Eastleigh carry out environmental impact assessments before drilling water projects in a populated city. She expressed concerns about school children frequently using the street and facing risks.
Alice Kamau, a vegetable vendor, also voiced concern about the flowing drilling mud, describing it as sticky mud that destroys the streets. She urged building owners and drilling companies to develop programs to properly handle the flowing drilling mud.

Zeitun Ali complained about the dust blowing all over once the sticky mud dries. She emphasized that the city council must address this problem, even if it involves deploying a team to handle the mud.
The increasing number of borehole drillings has resulted from the persistent water shortage within Eastleigh. Liiban Ali, the head of the site manager at Horn Africa, the company drilling the borehole, stated their intention to clear the mess once they are done with the drilling.
Waudo Street has undergone a remarkable transformation. Once plagued by impassable huge potholes and mud, this street is now thriving with a flurry of business activity. Formerly a desolate stretch, Waudo Street has evolved into a bustling area.
This road was previously riddled with obstacles, from muddy potholes on rainy days to dusty rocks on drier days. Now, it has been revamped, paving the way for an array of establishments, from shops to hospitals, salons, and hotels. The emergence of towering 14-story buildings signifies the area's remarkable growth.
