NCBA Bank hosts successful customer engagement forum at Eastleigh branch

NCBA Bank, one of Kenya's leading financial institutions, hosted a Customer Engagement Forum in Eastleigh on Thursday.

The event was attended by the top management of the Bank led by the Managing Director John Gachora, CEO of Eastleigh Business District Association Mohamed Adan and Kamukunji Member of Parliament Yusuf Hassan.



The event served as an opportunity for customers to interact with the bank's leadership, gain insights into the services offered and give valuable feedback to the management.

Since its inauguration in June 2023, the Eastleigh branch has garnered substantial traction, with over 1,100 customers already enjoying its services.
Notably, the branch has witnessed remarkable growth in forex revenue, soaring to Sh19 million per month.

During the forum, NCBA Group Managing Director, John Gachora, extended gratitude to the Eastleigh community for their unwavering support.

He underscored the bank's steadfast commitment to serving the community in Eastleigh and also asked them to choose NCBA as their preferred financial partner.

He emphasised the importance of customer satisfaction and engagement. "I would like to express my gratitude to the Eastleigh community for their continued support and trust in NCBA. We remain committed to being your preferred financial partner."

Speaking to Eastleigh Voice, the group MD said the bank has employed 10 people from Eastleigh and is considering extending a helping hand to those affected by the floods in Kamukunji.

He also disclosed that NCBA is considering introducing Islamic banking as a business model in the future.

The bank currently serves an impressive 3,000 customers per month at its branch at Business Bay Square Mall.

The branch has facilitated transactions totalling a whopping Sh1.5 billion since its inauguration 10 months ago.

This milestone speaks volumes about the branch's efficacy in meeting the diverse financial needs of its customers.

The bank has also disbursed loans amounting to Sh50 million, primarily directed towards Asset Finance in Eastleigh.

MP Yusuf Hassan said Eastleigh plays a pivotal role in driving Nairobi County's economy forward.

He noted the significance of the NCBA Eastleigh branch in empowering local businesses and fostering economic prosperity within the community.

"It is important to note that Eastleigh contributes nearly 35 per cent of Nairobi County's revenue, underscoring the importance of this community in driving the economy of this county and country at large," noted Yusuf.
