Kamukunji Sub-county's environment officer Noah Ngeno has vowed to tackle the garbage issue in Eastleigh. This decision follows renewed concerns over the Green Army's indiscriminate dumping of waste on major roads in the area.

The accumulation of waste obstructed traffic flow, leading to occasional build-up of traffic jams around the area.
Fahad Bare, a resident who parks his car on Keroe Road, expressed frustration over the Green Army's actions, labelling them lazy and negligent.
He criticised their choice of collection points, highlighting the unsuitability of dumping waste on busy roads.
"They don't know what they are doing, how can you use such a place as a collection point because that is what they use as an excuse," said Fahad.
In response to the outcry, Noah Ngeno acknowledged the issue, describing it as a mistake.
Speaking to The Eastleigh Voice, he assured residents that the garbage would be cleared by the end of Thursday. "I am aware of the garbage at that place, it was a mistake really," said Ngeno.
Ngeno emphasised the importance of responsible waste management practices, urging the Green Army and residents to cooperate in keeping the environment clean and safe. He stressed the need for proper waste disposal methods to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The Green Army team has faced scrutiny in the last few weeks on how they are handling the garbage issue in Eastleigh.
Last week, they were captured on camera dumping garbage on Yusuf Haji Road. The footage shows two individuals clad in Green Army attire unloading huge piles of garbage onto the busy road.
Another man donning the Green Army uniform was also seen repeatedly dumping garbage in the same location.
