In a statement, the Committee confirmed that Zetech Sparks violated player eligibility rules by fielding one Bertha Omita during the match, held at Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi on May 8, 2025.
Upon reviewing submissions from both clubs and match officials, the Committee found that Omita's transfer to Zetech Sparks had not been finalized prior to the match and that her FKF license was not presented for verification.
“The Committee, having gone through the submissions from Zetech Sparks FC and match officials’ reports, made the folowing findings; that the player’s transfer to Zetech Sparks FC was not finalized prior to the mentioned league match,” the Committee’s ruling reads.
“Zetech Sparks FC did not present Bertha Omita’s FKF license for verification before the match.”
Further, the FKF Committee found that Omita’s license number was missing from the referee’s report.
“That Art. 3.8.3 of the FKF Regulations provides that player(s) whose license cannot be presented by club officials at the time of inspection, shall be ineligible to play in the respective FKF Competition,” said FKF.
“Consequently, and in line with Art. 3.8.4 of the Regulations, Zetech Sparks FC are found guilty of this offence and shall forfeit the match which shall be awarded to Ulinzi Starlets FC.”
The FKFWPL Title race will go up to the last match!!!!

Kenya Police Bullets will secure back-to-back league titles with a win in their final match, against Trinity Starlets at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, on May 25. A draw would be enough to see them over the line.
However, should Kenya Police bullets suffer defeat and Ulinzi Starlets pick up maximum points in their match against Kisumu Allstars FC at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi on the same day, Ulinzi would leapfrog them to clinch their maiden title.
