Kenya Police Bullets outclass Zetech Sparks in commanding 3-0 victory

The Bullets came into the clash determined to avenge last season’s seven-goal thriller, which Zetech Sparks edged 4–3, and they wasted no time asserting their dominance from kick-off.

Kenya Police Bullets continued their fine start to the 2025/26 FKF Women’s Premier League season with a convincing 3–0 triumph over Zetech Sparks at the Kenya Police Sacco Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It was a display full of energy, precision, and teamwork from David Bujego’s charges, who maintained their 100 per cent start to the new campaign following last weekend’s 2–1 win against Kayole Starlets.

The Bullets came into the clash determined to avenge last season’s seven-goal thriller, which Zetech Sparks edged 4–3, and they wasted no time asserting their dominance from kick-off.

Kenya Police began brightly, with forward Emily Morang’a and Ugandan import Magret Kunihira causing constant problems on the wings. In the 26th minute, Morang’a made an impressive run down the flank, sending in a teasing cross that Kunihira narrowly failed to convert. Moments later, Morang’a picked up a knock and had to step out briefly for treatment.

The Bullets’ breakthrough came in the 32nd minute through Vidah Okeyo, who unleashed a thunderous long-range strike after being teed up by Diana Wacera. The goal sent the home fans into celebration as Police took a well-deserved 1–0 lead.

Zetech’s attempts to settle were continuously thwarted by the composed presence of captain and goalkeeper Annedy Kundu, who not only commanded her area well but also initiated attacks from the back.

In the 40th minute, her precise distribution found Medina Abubakar, who combined neatly with Kunihira. The Ugandan winger’s darting run ended with a clever dummy from Morang’a, setting up Puren Alukwe to slot home the second goal and double Police’s lead before halftime.

Kundu remained alert at the back, producing a crucial goal-line clearance in the 46th minute to keep the two-goal cushion intact as the Bullets went into the break firmly in control.

After the half-time, the Bullets continued to dictate play despite a brief spell of pressure from Zetech Sparks. Bujego introduced Namuleme for Morang’a in the 64th minute, a move that immediately paid off. The substitute linked up brilliantly with Kunihira on the flanks, stretching Zetech’s defence.

Their interplay paved the way for the third goal in the 70th minute, when Diana Wacera found space outside the box and curled home a sublime effort into the far post to make it 3–0. Wacera’s goal capped off an excellent afternoon’s work before she was later withdrawn for Lorna Nyabuto Nyarinda.

Despite a few late chances for Zetech, including a missed one-on-one by Violet Okinyi, the Sparks failed to break through a disciplined Police backline.

The result sees Kenya Police Bullets sit among the early pace-setters in the league with two wins from two, having scored five goals and conceded just once.

In other results of match, Vihiga Queens edged Kibera Soccer Women 3-1, Trinity Starlets also edged Bungoma Queens with the same score line as Kibera, while Gideon Starlets had a tough play as Kayole Starlets kicked back from their last match with a 3-2 win.

In the day’s other standout fixture, Ashley Shilwatso bagged a brace while Lindah Kihara scored her first goal for Kayole Starlets, helping them edge Gideon Starlets 3–2 in an entertaining contest.
