Eastleigh South beat Koth Biro champions Pumwani 2-0 in Sakaja Super Cup Sub County finals

Cheers reverberated in and around Makongeni Grounds on Saturday evening as Eastleigh South United secured a triumphant 2-0 victory over 2023 Koth Biro Cup champions, Pumwani Sports Club in the Sakaja Super Cup Kamukunji Sub County finals.
In a display of dominance on the same ground, Creative Hands FC delivered a stunning 5-0 thrashing to Mukuru Combined in the Embakasi South sub-county final.

Meanwhile, Makadara Youth only needed two goals to sail past Michezo Halisi in the Makadara sub-county final. The competition was fierce in Embakasi East, where Real Soweto triumphed over Bromley FC 3-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in regular time.

Sita Mbili FC faced a nail-biting 8-9 defeat on penalties against Kibera Arts FC after a deadlock in regular time in the Kibra Sub County final. Asec Huruma secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Comrades FC in Mathare.
The Lang’ata sub-county final witnessed KYSA FC losing 6-5 on penalties to Bomas FC after a goalless draw in regular time.
A total of 340 teams, and thousands of youths, drawn from all 17 Sub Counties in Nairobi registered to take part in the first edition of the Sakaja Super Cup football tournament which kicked off on September 30, 2023.
With the grand finale slated for December 16, 2023, Sakaja pledged unwavering support for youth engagement in sports. The Sakaja Foundation, the organizer of the three-month tournament, will extend its support beyond football to encompass all sporting activities within the county.
