Cheche names 35-player provisional squad for FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

As Kenya’s Junior Starlets prepare for their historic FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup appearance, head coach Mildred Cheche has called up 35 players to begin intense preparations.
Kenya's Junior Starlets head coach Mildred Cheche has announced a 35-player provisional squad for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in the Dominican Republic from October 16 to November 3, 2024.
The Junior Starlets are set to make their debut on the global stage, becoming the first Kenyan football team to reach this level of international competition. The team’s World Cup journey will begin with a match against England on October 18, followed by fixtures against Korea DPR on October 20 and Mexico on October 24.

The players are expected to report to camp on Saturday, August 24, 2024, for a 17-day training session. Following the initial camp, the team will travel to Spain on September 10 for extended training, with preparations continuing until their departure for the Dominican Republic on October 1, 2024.
