The team narrowly missed a podium finish, losing 1-0 to Poland in the third-place playoff early on Monday morning.

Under head coach Clement Otieno, Kenya faced tough competition on their way to the knockout stages. They lost 1-0 to Colombia in the semifinals but had earlier secured a crucial 1-0 win over Ukraine in the quarterfinals, with Mercy Ajenjo scoring the only goal.
In the group stage, Kenya showed resilience, earning a 1-0 victory over England with another goal from Ajenjo. They also drew 0-0 with Haiti and beat Peru 2-0, with Ajenjo’s performance standing out throughout the tournament.
The World Cup featured a seven-a-side format with two 25-minute halves and attracted top talent from around the world, highlighting the best in women’s amputee football.
