The winners were awarded a trophy and cash prize by the chief guest, Garissa Township MP Dekow Barrow, who praised all the participating clubs and encouraged the youth to develop their skills in the game.
"Let us help our fellow youth who were absorbed into drug abuse and help them join local football clubs to nurture their talents and gain physical health," said the MP.
He further promised to empower the local football clubs, noting that several were taking part in a series of tournaments in the area.
Noordin Bedel, the Football Kenya Federation's Garissa County league and competition coordinator, thanked the sponsors and called on local leaders and the business community to support tournaments.
"We need sponsors to support locals who have embraced the game of football instead of engaging in harmful practices," Noordin said.
He noted that the number of football clubs in Garissa was increasing, as many were willing to exploit their passion and potential.
