Etemesi strikes early as City Stars finally return to winning ways

The long-awaited win for Salim Babu with Nairobi City Stars has finally come to pass, as Kevin Etemesi sank Ulinzi Stars in a game that ended 1-0. This victory put an end to a winless streak that City Stars had endured for over ten games.
Etemesi's goal came in the third minute of the match and proved decisive, as Ulinzi Stars struggled to convert their chances, ultimately failing to find the back of the net.

The win was a perfect welcome gift for coach Salim Babu, who had officially been unveiled by the club earlier in the morning.
"Nairobi City Stars welcomes Salim Babu as head coach, with Patrick Gitagia as his right-hand man! Their experience and winning mentality will take the club to greater heights!" read an official statement from the club.
Crucially, the victory lifts City Stars off the bottom of the FKF Premier League table, moving them to 22 points, three ahead of Bidco United.
Elsewhere, Shami Mwinyi of Posta Rangers delivered a stellar performance to break KCB's vault, netting two crucial goals in a contest that ended 2-1.
KCB had taken an early lead through James Kinyajui, making it 1-0, but the Bankers failed to contain their former player, Shami Mwinyi, who struck twice to secure all three points for Posta Rangers at full-time.
Meanwhile, Sofapaka FC and Mara Sugar were inseparable after 90 minutes, sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Edward Omondi opened the scoring for Sofapaka, but they failed to maintain their lead, with Joseph Okwenda restoring parity to level the game.
In a clash between FC Talanta and Bidco United, Tiore delivered a clever reverse pass to set up Dennis 'Pogba' Murunga, whose strike rattled the crossbar before finding the back of the net. Murunga's 24th-minute goal gave Bidco United a 1-0 lead at half-time. Despite Talanta's efforts to find an equalizer, Bidco held firm to secure a 1-0 victory at full-time.
