IEBC voter registration turnout across 10 select counties

While some counties have recorded steady progress, others are lagging behind significantly in adding new voters to the register.

Data from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) shows a mixed turnout in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise that began on September 29, 2025.

While some counties have recorded steady progress, others are lagging behind significantly in adding new voters to the register.

Lamu, Nyamira, and Samburu are among the lowest-performing counties, with just one, ten, and eighteen new registrations, respectively.

In contrast, Nairobi City County leads with 1,597 new voters, highlighting regional disparities in voter mobilisation and participation.

Across the coastal and northern regions, Mombasa recorded 556 new voters, Kilifi 243, and Garissa 160.

Meanwhile, counties such as Tana River, Marsabit, and Taita Taveta continue to post low numbers, signalling the need for more targeted voter education and outreach efforts.
