Property owners in Nairobi urged to enrol titles in City Hall database

The registration process, which targets previously unlisted properties, will be handled at locations spread across the affected wards.
Landowners in Kasarani, Embakasi East, Embakasi West, Embakasi Central, and Embakasi North have been directed to register their properties with the Nairobi City County Government for inclusion in the Land Rates Database.
In a notice issued on Saturday, Acting County Secretary and County Head of Public Service, Godfrey Akumali, called on residents with land titles not yet registered to submit their documents at designated sub-county offices.

The registration process, which targets previously unlisted properties, will be handled at locations spread across the affected wards.
Those in Ruai and Njiru wards are to present their documents at the Ruai Customer Care Centre near the Njiru Deputy County Commissioner's offices, next to the Embakasi Ranching Company.
Residents in Mwiki, Kasarani and Clay City wards have been asked to visit the Kasarani Sub-County offices within the DCC compound.
For landowners in Utawala, Mihang’o, Embakasi, and Upper and Lower Savannah, document submission will be done at the Embakasi East Sub-County offices located at the Embakasi Social Hall on Embakasi Road.
Those from Umoja Phases 1 and 2, Kariobangi South and Mowlem wards under the KCC Settlement Scheme are to report to the Embakasi West sub-county offices along Church Road, off Moi Drive.
In Embakasi Central, landowners from Matopeni/Spring Valley, Kayole North, South, Central and Komarock wards will use the sub-county offices along Spine Road in Kayole’s Stage One.
For Embakasi North, documents will be submitted at the sub-county offices in Dandora Phase 1, near Wamwari’s stage, formerly known as the HDD offices.
“During this period, relevant county officers will be stationed at the listed locations to offer land valuation, rates and other related services, including collecting customer views on the county rates and the payment process," Akumali stated.
Property owners have been instructed to carry a copy of their title deed showing contact details, a national ID, KRA PIN Certificate and a recent passport photo.
Akumali urged residents to take advantage of the exercise to open rate payment accounts and ensure their properties are officially listed.
