Live blog: Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's State Funeral service

According to the National Committee for the State Funeral of Raila Odinga, the ceremony will feature full military honours, a church sermon led by the Anglican Church of Kenya, eulogies from the family, and tributes from national and international leaders.

The Eastleigh Voice will provide live coverage for the State Funeral service for the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will take place at the Nyayo National Stadium on Friday, commencing at 9 am.

According to the National Committee for the State Funeral of Raila Odinga, the ceremony will feature full military honours, a church sermon led by the Anglican Church of Kenya, eulogies from the family, and tributes from national and international leaders.

The co-chair of the Committee said on Thursday that the event will take two hours, and thereafter, there will be a public viewing at Nyayo Stadium from 12:00 noon, to be extended as long as necessary to allow mourners to continue paying their last respects.

The government has already declared Friday a public holiday to allow Kenyans to mourn the late Prime Minister.
