Kenya's National Dialogue Committee, led by National Assembly leader Kimani Ichung’wah and Azimio counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka, has achieved significant progress in their efforts to address various national issues.

Additionally, the committee has resolved to address the two-thirds gender rule and strengthen fidelity to political parties, aiming to promote equitable representation and party discipline.
The establishment of funds for the Constituency Development Fund, National Government Affirmative Action Fund, and Senate Oversight Fund is also on the agenda.
Senate Majority leader Aaron Cheruiyot commended the committee's substantial progress and commitment to meeting the 60-day deadline set by Parliament. However, some issues, such as the cost of living, restructuring and reconstitution of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), audit of the 2022 elections, and inclusivity in public appointments, remain points of contention and require further discussion.
The National Dialogue Committee has conducted public hearings with various stakeholders, including former IEBC commissioners and the IEBC selection panel, to address contentious topics, including the IEBC selection panel agenda and audit of the 2022 General Election. These negotiations signify a collaborative effort to address key challenges and promote a more equitable and inclusive political landscape in Kenya.
