A Kenyan lady who worked in Lebanon as a house help has been awarded a complimentary vacation in Kenya after a touching video showing her departure from her employer and the children she looked after went viral.

The video of Rozah Rozalina Samson, also known as 'Rosie', captured the online community's heart while working in Lebanon and stirred widespread emotions on social media.

The touching video resonated deeply with online social users with many in Kenya, flooding social media with messages of support and appreciation for Rosie's exceptional kindness towards her employer's children.

In his statement, Mr Karema praised Rosie for showcasing the dedication of Kenyan workers.

"We want to acknowledge and reward Rosie for demonstrating Kenya's capabilities to the world. Please assist us in locating her; we would like to give her a vacation as a token of our appreciation."

Another post by Expedition Maasai Safaris highlighted Rosie's compassionate nature and expressed their desire to honour her with a complimentary vacation in Kenya.

"This compassionate Kenyan woman deserves recognition and reward for exhibiting the qualities of dedicated, determined, and humble Kenyan workers. Even the children express their reluctance to see her leave. We aim to celebrate her with a well-deserved vacation," they affirmed.

A poignant scene unfolded at Lebanon's airport, shared through a video on Maria Cataleya's page quickly spread across social platforms. The family she served struggled emotionally to bid farewell to their beloved nanny.

Responsible for four children, Rosie was heading back to Kenya for a well-deserved rest.

The heart-wrenching footage portrayed the employer's twin children tearfully and affectionately clinging to Rosie as tears streamed down their faces. Calming the children and parting them from Rosie proved difficult for their parents.

The video captured the mother's voice, reassuring her distraught children that their cherished caretaker would return. "She'll be back; please say goodbye so she can start her journey," she implored.

Expressing gratitude, Rosie's employer posted a heartfelt message, acknowledging her care for their children as if they were her own.

Before her departure, they honoured her with a birthday celebration, recognizing her not merely as an employee but as an integral part of their family.
