The community in Lamu is calling for immediate action and a collective outcry for justice to be served to those who have suffered.

The Pangani area in Lamu is grappling with a growing sense of fear amid soaring crime rates.

Heart-wrenching accounts of community members being abducted and lives tragically cut short have emerged, painting a harrowing reality of the current circumstances.

The community is calling for immediate action and a collective outcry for justice to be served to those who have suffered.

"Each life lost is an irreparable tragedy, and every instance of abduction inflicts immeasurable suffering on families. We cannot allow this vicious cycle of violence to endure," emphasised Hussein Khalid, the Executive Director of Haki Africa.

Hussein said irrespective of who one is in the society, no one is above the law.

They implored law enforcement agencies and all conscientious citizens to band together in opposition to these abhorrent crimes.

"The time has come to prioritize the welfare of our community and put an end to the terror that has plagued Lamu," he said.
