In an invite seen by The Eastleigh Voice, the briefing will be held at State House, Nairobi as communicated by State House Press Secretary Emmanuel Talam.
It is widely expected that the President will announce the remaining nominees of his cabinet.
Last week on Friday, Ruto named half the members of his Cabinet a week after sacking 21 of his previous Cabinet except for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi who also serves as the CS for Foreign Affairs and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Among the 11 nominees were five new faces; Eric Muriithi Muuga (Water, Sanitation and Irrigation), Margaret Nyambura Ndung'u (Information, Communication and the Digital Economy), Debra Mlongo Barasa (Health), Julius Migos Ogamba (Education) and Andrew Mwihia Karanja (Agriculture and Livestock Development).
Cabinet retentions
The other six served in the previous Cabinet include Aden Duale of Defence who was initially nominated back to the same docket before the President swapped him with Soipan Tuya of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry.
The others are Kithure Kindiki (Interior), Davis Chirchir (Roads and Transport) and Alice Wahome (Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development).
On Tuesday the list was officially submitted to the National Assembly names of the 10 Cabinet nominees for consideration and approval by the House.
However, in the list read by the National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula former Trade and Industry CS Rebecca Miano’s name was missing for the post of Attorney General.
It is also expected that the Head of State might also announce the new two deputy Inspector Generals of Police to head the Kenya Police Service (KPS) and Administration Police Service (APS).
On Monday, the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) conducted interviews for the candidates of the deputy IG of Police and forwarded three names to the President.
The commission announced the seats as vacant on July 13 after which a total of 38 applications were received for both positions.
Twenty-one applicants expressed interest for the position of Deputy Inspector General of Kenya Police Service while 13 applicants sought to fill the position of Deputy Inspector General of Administration Police Service.
