The national government promised to allocate increased resources to empower women and youth to initiate and sustain small-scale businesses.

Deputy Government spokesperson, Mwanaisha Chidzuga has encouraged the women of Kwale County to take charge of their lives by engaging in development-oriented groups and establishing their companies.

Highlighting the pivotal role of women's progress in bolstering the economy and alleviating poverty, Chidzuga emphasised the transformative impact of women's involvement in income-generating endeavours, underscoring how it could elevate family welfare and overall development.

In urging a shift towards investment in small enterprises for self-sustainability, Chidzuga accentuated the changing landscape, urging women to seize opportunities for financial support from the government, stressing the enhancement of their status and dignity within society.

Unemployment

Determined to curb unemployment, she doubled down on the government's commitment to allocate increased resources to empower women and youth to initiate and sustain small-scale businesses.

She emphasised the necessity for women to harness government-backed funds and empowerment initiatives tailored to their benefit.

Chidzuga advocated for women's empowerment through collective unity, encouraging them to cultivate a spirit of courage and ambition in their pursuit of goals.

At a fundraiser for the Amka Community in Msambweni, Kwale County, Chidzuga articulated the need for a savings culture among women, advising against frivolous spending on luxury items, and emphasizing the importance of channelling profits into investments.

She called for increased participation of women in leadership roles, advocating for solidarity among women to surmount obstacles hindering their progress, emphasizing that unity is the bedrock of their strength and success.

Echoing Chidzuga's sentiments, Mining CS Salim Mvurya affirmed the government's unwavering commitment to supporting women, emphasizing the alignment of initiatives like forming small companies with the bottom-up economic agenda, aiming to empower grassroots communities as per the Kenya Kwanza manifestos.
