Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan publicly announced in Nairobi that Dodoma is endorsing Raila Odinga's candidacy for the position of AUC Chair.

"The government of Tanzania endorses the candidature of Raila Amollo Odinga for chairperson of AU. We know he's a Pan-Africanist leader,” she said
Speaking in front of regional leaders from South Sudan and Uganda, she shared a light moment, noting that in Tanzania, she is called "Mama," and expressed her pleasure at being in Kenya with "Baba," who she referred to as her "Kaka."
President Ruto officially launched Raila Odinga’s continental campaign for the AUC Chairmanship on Tuesday.
