The Judiciary has introduced a new system to manage all financial transactions through mobile platforms, including court fee refunds.
The system has been integrated with the existing e-filing and Case Management systems and aims to improve efficiency in handling payments, deposits, and refunds related to court proceedings.
Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Winfridah Boyani announced the completion of the transition to this new platform on Tuesday, which is expected to streamline administrative processes within the Judiciary.
"The refund process, which had been suspended, has now resumed with the new platform in place," she said.
Under the new system, users will receive payment receipts via SMS, alongside the traditional notifications through e-filing and Case Tracking Systems (CTS).
According to Boyani, this additional step will ensure better communication and tracking of financial transactions.
"Payment receipts will now be accessible via SMS acknowledgment in addition to the e-filing and CTS platforms," she added.
Depositors who are eligible for refunds will also be required to update their bank details when prompted.
A link will be sent to their mobile phones during the refund process, allowing for a seamless and secure update of their banking information.
The Judiciary is committed to promptly processing pending refunds, forfeitures, and utilizations.
"We are working diligently to ensure that all outstanding refunds, forfeitures, and utilizations are completed as swiftly as possible," Boyani stressed, assuring the public of their continued efforts to enhance service delivery.
In addition, the Chief Registrar apologised for any inconveniences caused during the system transition.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding," she stated.
