Ezra Chiloba resigns as Communications Authority Director-General

In September, Chiloba was suspended following an internal investigation that accused him of financial impropriety.
The Communications Authority (CA) of Kenya has confirmed the resignation of Ezra Chiloba as Director General.
In a letter signed on Thursday by the CA Board Chairperson Mary Mungai, the authority said they had accepted the resignation of Chiloba who had served as Director-General for two years.

"On behalf of the authority, I wish the outgoing Director-General success in his future endeavours and appreciate his invaluable contribution to the organization and the wider ICT sector," the chairperson said.
In September, Chiloba was suspended following an internal investigation that accused him of financial impropriety.
Chiloba and nine other top officials at CA are said to have allegedly mishandled mortgages and allowances running into millions of shillings.
The chairperson later appointed Christopher Wambua as Chiloba's replacement in an acting capacity.
