“We intend to keep the momentum going after a good start to the season. We expect a good show from Mwamba therefore we will be out to defend the badge and to play our game. The boys have been training well after resuming from the festive holidays. I would like to call upon our supporters to turn up in large numbers to rally behind the team,” said KCB RFC Head Coach, Curtis Olago.
The bankers had a quiet transfer activity in the January transfer window only acquiring the services of Horus Alela from Shamas Rugby and dispatched him on loan to Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad.
“We have a solid team right now and the depth in both the Kenya Cup side and the ESS side is unmatched. This explains why we did not make a lot of changes in the transfer window. Our players have shown great determination and hard work since we started this new campaign. I am optimistic that we will clinch the title at the end of the season,” added Olago.
KCB will, however, miss the services of Vincent Onyala, Samuel Asati and Festus Shiasi, who have been called upon to represent Shujaa in the Challenger series expected to kick off tomorrow in Dubai.
The tactician together with his technical team will name the squad that will take on Kulabu later today in the much-anticipated encounter.
