Four special unit officers killed, five others missing after Al-Shabaab attack in Mandera
The six injured officers are in stable condition and have been transferred from Guba Health Center to Banisa Hospital, awaiting airlifting to Nairobi for further treatment.
Four police officers under the Special Operations Group (SOG) have been killed in an Al-Shabaab attack at the border of Banisa and Mandera West Sub-counties in Mandera County.
The deaths were a result of a clash between SOG officers and National Police Reservists (NPR) from Guba with Al-Shabaab militants on Thursday.

The officers were patrolling the Har Sigenge area, located on the border of Banisa and Mandera West sub-counties when the attack happened.
In the police report Seen by Eastleigh Voice, three SOG and three NPR officers sustained injuries, while five SOG officers are reported missing.
The six injured officers are in stable condition and have been transferred from Guba Health Center to Banisa Hospital, awaiting airlifting to Nairobi for further treatment.
In response to the incident, SOG units from Guba, Ashabito, and Takaba have been deployed to the area to search for the missing officers.
Authorities have assured that all officers in the area remain vigilant and are taking necessary measures to ensure safety and security in the region.
