Detectives arrest key suspect in the murder of Eastleigh resident

Police revealed that the suspect is also connected to the murder of Police Constable David Mayaka of DCI Makadara.
DCI detectives have arrested a man suspected of having shot and killed Abdirahim Abdullahi Ibrahim on the night of November 9, near DD Plaza in California estate.
The suspect named Paul Odhiambo Owuodho alias Fazul Mohamed had been captured on CCTV camera approaching the deceased from the back before getting close to him, shooting him, stealing his phone and fleeing the scene.

The deceased had been talking with his girlfriend at the time, whom he was meeting in the area, but she was unhurt by the killer.
Abdirahim was shot just below the ear, with the bullet exiting on the other side of the head.
"Today, DCI Officers acting on intelligence report conducted an operation within Kiambiu slums and apprehended one Paul Othiambo Owuodho alias "Fazul Muhamed", male adult aged 27 years, linked to the fatal shooting of one Abdirahim Abdullahi Ibrahim in California," police said in a statement.
They added that the suspect is also connected to the murder of Police Constable David Mayaka of DCI Makadara, which occurred in the Mihang’o Kayole area on August 23, 2023.
The officer was fatally shot by three men riding on a motorcycle, and the matter is in court.
"The suspect is in police custody at Shauri Moyo Police Station. DCI Shauri Moyo is investigating," the police said.
A post-mortem conducted at the City Mortuary after the request of the Shauri Moyo detectives revealed that Abdirahim died due to excessive blood loss following a gunshot wound to the neck.
The deceased has since been buried at the Lang'ata Cemetery in Nairobi.
