Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid tribute to the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, describing him as a brother, friend, and trusted confidant who devoted his life to Africa.

Speaking during Raila’s funeral service at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) in Bondo, Siaya County, Obasanjo highlighted the late leader’s warmth, humour, and steadfast commitment to democracy.

“One thing I liked about Raila is his sense of humour. No matter how serious the situation may be, you can be sure that Raila will turn the tension into something to laugh about,” Obasanjo said.
