Al-Quds Day: Muslims urged to support Palestinians as they mark last Friday of Ramadan
In a statement, the organisation condemned the ongoing violence and oppression by the Zionist regime, urging Muslims worldwide to unite in solidarity with Palestine.
As Muslims observe the last Friday of Ramadan, Kongamano La Mapinduzi (KLM) has called on the global Muslim community to observe Al-Quds Day, reaffirming their unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
Al-Quds Day is an annual pro-Palestinian event held on the last Friday of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan to express support for Palestinians.
In a statement, the organisation condemned the ongoing violence and oppression by Israel, urging Muslims worldwide to unite in solidarity with Palestine.

They emphasised that this year’s Al-Quds Day comes amid a worsening humanitarian crisis in Palestine, particularly in Gaza, where more than 50,000 Palestinians—most of them women and children—have lost their lives.
The organisation also highlighted the rampant activities of armed settlers and Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank, targeting Palestinian towns and villages.
“Where was the international community during the Rwandan genocide in 1994? And where is it now as the USA and Israel continue their actions against Palestinians in 2025?” Kongamano La Mapinduzi questioned.
It condemned the continued inaction while the USA and Israel perpetuate violence in Palestine in 2025. In its call to action, KLM urged people of all faiths to unite against the oppressive ideology of Zionism.
“We are calling upon all spiritual faiths of the world—African, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and others—to unite against the barbaric and genocidal ideology of Zionism. Just as the mighty Iranian Revolution introduced Al-Quds Day in 1979, today’s generation must adapt to the times and pledge our allegiance to the freedom of all oppressed people of the world. Let us all pledge our allegiance to freedom, to Palestine,” they stated.
The organisation also urged Muslims to mark the day with international solidarity, stressing that this observance should not be merely symbolic but a reaffirmation of unwavering support for Palestine’s struggle for justice and freedom.
“We stand united with the global community in reaffirming our unwavering and unconditional solidarity with the Palestinian people,” it concluded.
