“The NTP represents the clearest declaration of intent by the government, a commitment and a national compact to rebuild, to transform and to rise. This plan is the compass that will guide Somalia through the next five years and beyond towards the promise of vision 2060, a prosperous, secure, stable, democratic and inclusive Somalia,” PM Hamza said.

He said the new NTP is a result of vigorous discussions and consultations involving more than 400 people drawn from various Ministries, government agencies, Federal States, civil society organizations and international development partners with the aim of transforming Somalia in the next five years.
“The government has prioritised leading the nation to development through capacitating and improving governance within various agencies and it is out of this resolve that we today launch the National Transformation Plan (NTP 2025-2029) aimed at improving our democracy, security, justice and social affairs as well as improving our economic sources and to also encourage foreign investment,” the PM added.

The colourful NTP launch was attended by various ministries, government agencies, international partners as well as members of the diplomatic representatives in Somalia including Kenya’s Ambassador to Somalia Ambassador Kubai Iringo.
