Dala Sevens Pools Unveiled: Kisumu to host a weekend of rugby spectacle

The pools for the Dala Sevens have been announced, with Kisumu set to host the tournament on August 17th and 18th. Kenya Harlequin headlines Pool A, while other teams gear up for a weekend of intense rugby action.

In yet another exciting chapter of the national sevens circuit, the pools for the Dala Sevens have been released. All roads lead to Kisumu on the weekend of August 17th and 18th as the rugby tournament promises to deliver new thrills and make history.

The 2024 Ingo 7s Champions and Christie 7s runners-up, Kenya Harlequin, headline Pool A of the Dala 7s, which will be held at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium. They are joined by Menengai Oilers, Strathmore Leos, and Mwamba RFC.

KCB RC, also known as the Bankers, are in Pool B, where they will face off against Nondescript RFC, KU Blakblad, and Homeboyz RFC.

The host team, Kisumu RFC, will compete in Pool C alongside the spirited Stallions, Kabras RDC, and MMUST. Nakuru RFC, Catholic Monks, Daystar Falcons, and Zetech Oaks round out Pool D in the Division One category.

In Division Two, Kabarak University, the runner-up in the Ingo 7s, leads Pool A and will compete against KCA University, Western Bulls, and Tororo RFC. Pool B features Sagalagala National Polytechnic, Northern Suburbs, Bungoma RFC, and MKU Thika.

Pool C will see TUM Marines, AP Warriors, Vihiga Granites, and Nandi Bears in action. Pool D includes Embu RFC, Homa Bay Rugby, Mbale RFC, and Siaya RFC, while the final pool features Shamberere TTI, NYS Spades, Mean Machine, and Kifaru RFC. Standby teams for the tournament are Makueni RFC, Kisumu Polytechnic, and Molo RFC.
