Both the DRC and Burundi accuse Rwanda of supporting the M23 and Red Tabara rebels who have been wreaking havoc in the two countries.

The council discussed the military intervention being carried out by SADC forces, led by South Africa.

Rwanda, led by President Paul Kagame, has in the past denied accusations of supporting the RED-Tabara and the M23 rebels.
