The mission, consisting of observers from EAC partner states, will be in Rwanda for the better part of this week and next week. 

Her appointment was approved during an extraordinary virtual summit led by the bloc's chair, Salva Kiir, the President of South Sudan.

Veronica Mueni Nduva, a PS in the Public Service ministry, will replace her.
